A small team with a genuine commitment to animal welfare and professional, unhurried grooming.
Mobile Pet Groomers was founded in 2013 by Sarah Clarke, after more than a decade working in traditional grooming salons. Sarah had noticed something consistently: the dogs that arrived most stressed were not poorly behaved — they were simply overwhelmed by the experience of being taken somewhere unfamiliar, surrounded by other anxious animals, and left to wait.
The idea of mobile grooming was not entirely new, but the approach she wanted to take was. Rather than a faster, more convenient version of the salon, she wanted to offer something fundamentally different: a one-to-one session where the animal was never hurried, never caged between stages, and never groomed by someone who did not know them.
That original philosophy remains at the heart of everything we do. The team has grown since those early days, but the principles have not changed.
A well-groomed pet is a comfortable one — free from matting that pulls the skin, nails that alter their gait, and coats that trap dirt and moisture. The aesthetic result of a good groom matters, but the functional result matters more.
We do not believe in forcing an animal through discomfort to hit a schedule. We do not believe in restraining a genuinely distressed pet to finish a trim. And we do not believe that any grooming result is worth an animal associating the experience with fear.
